Our Story

Born at the
edge of the desert.

Sahara Coffee Co. was founded by Leila Hassan after a journey across North Africa, where she discovered small-batch farmers growing extraordinary beans in harsh, high-altitude conditions. She brought those beans — and those relationships — home.

Today we work directly with over 30 farming families across Ethiopia, Yemen, and Morocco, paying above fair-trade rates and investing in sustainable growing practices.

Source
We travel to origin — tasting, cupping, and building relationships with farmers who share our standards for quality and sustainability.

Only the top 3% of each harvest makes the cut. Beans are hand-sorted, evaluated for defects, and graded for flavour potential.

Roast
Each profile is developed in small batches on our Loring Smart Roaster — precise, consistent, and dialled to highlight the bean's best character.

Deliver
Orders ship within 48 hours of roasting in nitrogen-flushed, fully compostable packaging to lock in peak freshness.
